LATELY
I have been thankful for..."befores"...
and "afters"...
for Summer lawn-chairs still being put to good use in the temperate Autumn we have been gifted with this year...
for football-playing cousins...
and dreamy three-year-olds...
for gifts that sometimes arrive through loss...
and for silent moments to reflect on my life...
(all photos taken at the new home of my brother and his sweetheart)

It's nice when the simpliest things remind us of what we have instead of what we lack.
Great pics and post.
Awww...great pictures! I especially love the one of the dreamy little girl - it's neat to remember back to when the world seemed so big.
remembering....once they get big, and move out and fly on their own...you rely more on that memory than you realize. :( :)

beautiful pictures delia, and such laconic words that speak oceans in the gaps they leave.

Little one's eyes are so gorgeous! Like pools you want to jump into! Thanks for sharing the pictures, the reflections and the gratitude. Such a good thing . . .
(Hope that your are feeling a bit better. Been thinking of you and other bloggie friends who are struggling with some ongoing health issues. Lifting prayers for comfort and peace . . .)

What a lovely collection of photos. I loved seeing them and the story they tell.
before and afters and dreamy three year olds - this is my life too!
This photo of your daughter looks so like you in the pic you posted last Sunday!
