Oh, those shoes!! There's a winter quiet to these pictures that invites me to sink into it. Even without words you still speak.

that last photo is haunting. your photos are so incredible delia, truly. and we have those exact red sparkly dorothy shoes.....my girl wears them to parties since she can't wear them to school.

i love all these pictures, esp. the closeup of the ball with the light. there's just something about christmas tree lights that get me...the quietness, the glow, how it can transform a room into something magical.
