These are so nice. And inspiring. I should put my fancy camera to better use- but I don't think I've your talent for seeing the details in the everyday.
Yes, we are the same around here. This is the first year that Wyatt *really* is into it like this. It must be part of being in school now, with all the other kids.
That last family picture is too much! Look at all the detail, and the happy happy faces. *sigh* That is awesome.
What if we could never ever speak again but could only take photos and hold them up to convey what we wished to? What an interesting task you have given yourself. I'll be curious when its over to hear what the experience was like for you.
Aw, I remember advent calendars! My mom had one with pockets for candy and my brother and sister and I had to take turns, so we'd all constantly be switching the candies around, trying to put the ones we wanted into "our" pockets, projecting out across the whole month in threes. Ha ha -- a little bit of math!
Love the photos, they take me right back to being 10 again. We still have a calendar that marks off the days with little pockets like yours - even though my sister and I are in our 20's, we still move the little mouse in the pockets when we get home for the holidays. Can't wait!
Just love that cheeky last picture! Sorry I'm so slow on the emailing - the laptop has barely been switched on in the last 72 hours. Trying to switch my brain into organising gear - if I tell you that my littlest one's birthday is the 4th of July - then you'll know what I mean!!!
Email coming to you in the next 24 hours - in the meantime sending you love x x x x x
"How can I possibly sleep this moonlit evening? Come, my friends, let's sing and dance all night long. Stretched out, tipsy, under the vast sky: splendid dreams beneath the cherry blossoms. Wild roses, plucked from fields full of croaking frogs: float them in your wine and enjoy every minute." --Ryokan--

I love that painting! All the photos are wonderful (as always!) but that one put a big grin on my face.
